Hi! I’m Shea James, the owner and creative behind Shea Social Studio.

I started Shea Social Studio over five years ago with a passion for helping businesses show up confidently and authentically online. As I worked with more brands, I saw how many incredible businesses struggled to tell their story effectively on social media. I created Shea Social Studio to bridge that gap—combining creative visuals with thoughtful marketing strategy to help brands grow with intention.

My journey into this work began with a deep love for visual storytelling. I attended Midwestern State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Photography. That experience shaped the way I see the world through a creative lens and laid the foundation for the work I do today.

For the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of businesses—from local entrepreneurs and small businesses to growing brands looking to elevate their digital presence. My background blends creative storytelling with strategic marketing, allowing me to help businesses not only look great online but also build meaningful connections with their audience.

At the heart of what I do is the belief that every brand has a story worth sharing. Through professional photography, engaging video content, and strategic social media marketing, I help businesses communicate their message in a way that feels authentic, polished, and impactful.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at home in Austin, Texas, spending time with my boyfriend Ryan and our Rottweiler Axel, who definitely keeps life entertaining. I love cooking new recipes, hosting craft nights, and having cozy movie nights with friends and family.

Creativity has always been a huge part of my life—both professionally and personally—and I love bringing that creativity into every project I work on.
